Ski season is finally coming to a close . . . but that’s not a bad thing.
The 2017-2018 ski season was a great time for our team at Caucasus Nomad and those who came to the Republic of Georgia to adventure with us. It was a truly international season as we had skiers and snowboarders representing: Germany, Russia, Belarus, Poland, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Slovakia, and the UK amongst our clients.
Luckily we were able to visit all our favorite places throughout the country on multiple occasions. We skied in Svaneti, Racha, Gudauri, Tetnuldi, Ushguli, Kazbegi, and Chauki to name a few. We rode in helicopters, skinned up thousands upon thousands of vertical meters, camped in the backcountry, climbed with ropes, ices axes and crampons, and even took a chairlift here and there. No injuries, no mishaps, only good days and smiles.
For a visual recap, here are a few of our favorite pics from the season:
While reflecting on what a great season we had we are already looking forward to next winter and what 2018-2019 has to bring. So many people are excited to come back and we hope to see all our friends again. In the meantime we’re already planning new adventures and locations for next season. So stay tuned. and get excited. Although skiing may be all but over for the year, mountaineering, hiking, biking and climbing season is just getting started! Don’t miss out on the action.
